The votes are in and the results have been tabulated: after a week of nominations and voting by our community, ELGL is thrilled to announce the winners of the Knope of the Week! As a reminder, The Knope of the Week honors individuals or groups who have done the most in the past week to advance the mission of ELGL.
Without further ado, the winner of the 12th Knope of the Week goes to the . . . .
Oregon Municipal Finance Officers Association (OMFOA) Developing Professionals. Toby LaFrance (Tigard), Rhyan Van Horn (TriMet), and Heidi Starks (West Slope Water District) are the group’s officers and have been influential in advancing the mission of OMFOA and ELGL.
The OMFOA Developing Professionals Group has shown their commitment to promoting the local government profession by offering “Ask a Millennial” at the upcoming OMFOA Conference. Details on the session are available here. The group also has co-sponsored the ELGL forum with Neil McFarlane and was a key player in securing the Halloween meeting with DHM Research.
The Developing Professionals stated mission is to provide resources, support, training and vision for individuals who are new to the government finance sector or who may be looking to develop and expand upon their current career as a government finance professional.
