Want Affordable Housing? Look to the Zoning Code – Activists should think beyond public subsidies.

Where Needed Most, Public Transit Faces Cuts – Next American City – What a paradox: Cutbacks to public transportation are enforced even as fuel prices continue to rise and the demand for public transportation seems likely only to increase. Local revenues simply cannot keep up with demand.

We directly impact people’s lives in very tangible ways. We provide the necessities – clean drinking water, emergency response, drivable roads, electricity – and these are critical to a community

Less revenue puts pressure on city budget – Revenue reductions and increased expenses will continue to put a strain on the city of Albany’s ability to deliver the type and extent of services the public wants and expects, City Manager Wes Hare will tell the budget committee when it meets on Tuesday, May 15.

Career
