City Administrator – Camas, WA

Position Overview
Situated in the southeastern hilly portion of Clark County, Washington, the City of Camas is home to over 20,000 residents. The ideals of culture, values and vision have been instrumental in promoting diverse economic growth, encouraging development of livable, family-oriented neighborhoods, protecting open-space, building parks and other recreational amenities. Promoting the quality of life for all residents has made Camas a truly unique community.
The City of Camas seeks a dynamic Administrator who actively advocates for the community. The ideal candidate will seek to understand the history and legacy of the retiring, long tenured City Administrator and will continue to promote a strong sense of community while developing their own legacy. Specifically, the City Administrator assumes full management responsibility for all City operations including the development and implementation of the City’s goal, objectives, policies and priorities. The Administrator has at least seven years of management responsibility and administrative experience in an organization of similar size preferably with a well-rounded background that includes a combination of public and private sector experience. The successful candidate is recognized as a business supporter with an interest in economic growth. The ideal candidate easily develops relationships at the state and federal level, specifically with the legislature. The Administrator is analytical with a proven strength in financial management including a keen ability to capitalize on financial opportunities and grants.
