From Milwaukie to Sahuarita: ELGL Member on the Move

One of ELGL’s first members Teri Bankhead (Milwaukie assistant to the city manager) is leaving the Portland area for a new position in Arizona. While this is a loss for the Portland area, maybe it’s the beginning of ELGL Arizona?

Below is a farewell note that Teri has asked for us to communicate with ELGL members and the local government community. Good luck Teri!

Dear Colleagues,

teri_bankheadAfter eight years in the Pacific Northwest, I have an amazing opportunity to return home to Arizona.  My last day with the City of Milwaukie will be April 25, 2014.  I have accepted the position of the Assistant to the Town Manager of Sahuarita. It is a little (well about 26k) bedroom community just south of Tucson.  I am very excited for this opportunity and looking forward to consistent days of sun and warmth.

It has been my honor to get to know you and be a part of an amazing group of talented and driven professionals. Kent and Kirsten, you have done a phenomenal job of growing this organization and bringing people together. I am proud to say “I knew them when….”

I am hopeful to get involved with the ICMA Arizona chapter and to see many of you at upcoming conferences.

All the best,

Teri Bankhead

Assistant to the City Manager
