Regional Preparedness Planning Coordinator – Limited Term

SALARY: $5,496.00 – $7,330.00 Monthly

The Regional Disaster Preparedness Planning Coordinator (the Regional Planning Coordinator) reports to the RDPO Manager (based at PBEM) and performs a range of planning and project coordination tasks in support of RDPO committees and task forces developing regional disaster response and recovery plans and frameworks (e.g., regional disaster debris management, fuel contingency, disaster sanitation, utility coordination, etc.).

The Regional Planning Coordinator also designs and facilitates the annual capability-based assessment and planning process, known as the Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA).

Program Coordinator – Continuity of Operations Planner (Limited Term)

SALARY: $5,496.00 – $7,330.00 Monthly

CLOSING DATE: 4/11/16 04:30 PM

The Portland Bureau of Emergency Management (PBEM) is recruiting for a City Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planner. The COOP Planner coordinates citywide continuity of operations planning. This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to individual City bureaus as they develop their COOP plans, and planning and leading a collaborative process to enhance the citywide COOP framework.

Specific responsibilities include: project scoping, developing project plans, facilitating stakeholder and technical advisory groups, and writing and editing plan documents. Position requires prior experience / knowledge of continuity planning. IT disaster recovery helpful but not required.
