As the heat rises, storms are a sweet relief. They can also be absolutely beautiful. Today I’m going to share some of the beautiful storm photos my husband has captured over the last few years. Ransomware attacks spread throughout Ohio cities, counties. Recent ransomware attacks have targeted several Ohio cities and counties over the past year, forcing some to use taxpayer dollars to bail themselves out of the attacks. Ransomware is a type of virus cyber criminals use to install fraudulent software that encrypts a computer’s files, rendering them inaccessible according to Time. Then, the ransomware typically extorts the user into making a payment to the cyber criminals in order to decrypt the files.

Philadelphia close to being first major U.S. city to institute soda tax. Drink ‘em while you got ‘em! A new tax might soon force Philadelphian soda consumers to pay more for the drinks than consumers in other cities. On Wednesday, the Philadelphia City Council confirmed it would support a new tax of 1.5 cents per ounce on sugary beverages and diet sweetened beverages, NPR reports.

Texas Weather Radar Picks Up a Strong ‘Bat Signal’. OK, not that bat signal. But radar did detect the presence of more than a dozen bat “storms” Monday, as thousands of the creatures flapped into the night to hoover up hairy, delicious bugs.
