The Job

Program Coordinators are key members of the Mayor and Council support team in the City Manager’s Office and Central Services Department. The City Manager’s Office includes a diverse collection of services and programs that help ensure City government is effective, accountable and inclusive. We collaborate with the organization and other partners to align City work with City Council direction and community values; support elected and appointed officials and ensure the integrity of the legislative process; and promote an informed public.

Posting is for two positions:

Mayor and Council Support: This position collaborates in developing and distributing meeting materials, prepares for and staffs high level public meetings including City Council meetings, and coordinates the boards and commissions program including working on external and internal communications and outreach efforts. In addition, this person provides general support to the City Manager’s Office and City organization.

eugene or logoMayor’s Assistant:  This position supports the Mayor, City Council and staff in the City Manager’s Office by providing oversight and coordination of public events, performing community outreach and education efforts, scheduling meetings and managing multiple calendars, researching current and upcoming legislative initiatives, community issues and Council directives. This includes coordination and development of written communication on behalf of the Mayor and City Council members to include letters, speaking points, and official statements.  This is a limited duration position which we anticipate will begin in August or September and is projected to last twelve months from the date of hire.

 

Details

Salary: $3,792.53 – $4,733.73 Monthly
