The mission of the fellowship focuses on providing fellows experience and exposure to prepare them for careers in public service.
The fellowship is programmed with professional development, career coaching, and mentorship throughout the year in an effort to achieve the mission.
The City of Hillsboro Public Management Fellowship is recognized by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) as a Local Government Management Fellowship.
Fellows will have the opportunity to attend national and regional education/career development programs, which may include: ICMA Annual Conference, Oregon City County Management Association (OCCMA) Annual Conference, and Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) Annual Conference.
