Prepare for #ELGL14 by learning about who is attending. Find out if you’ll be surrounded by soft talkers, loud eaters, and finger biters or whether you’ll be surrounded by the best in local government.

(Complete the sentence) #ELGL14 is…….

…An exciting opportunity to meet other public employees and do the following; learn, laugh at the obscene amounts of memes used by ELGL, meet up with my PSU MPA peeps, and commiserate about how public employment is mostly awesome but sometimes the pits (public comment periods GAH! but totally necessary…)

Registration for #ELGL14 cost $60. If you could use that $60 to buy something else, what would you buy?

I would put that $60 in my tattoo fund. I plan to visit the talented Mike V. at Oddball Tattoo and get a full sleeve with grasshoppers and ice cream cones, f’realz.

If #ELGL14 spun off into a music festival, what bands (dead or alive) would you like to see?

Kayne West. Just kidding that would be awful.

I would love to see Beyonce because I love her. People who don’t need to get right with Queen Bey. I would also love love love to see Julieta Venegas. Her music is fantastic and I pray daily that she will go on tour again soon.

During your time in Portland for #ELGL14, how do you plan on “Keeping Portland Weird?”

I plan to tweet throughout the day (@thebacondiaries,) also I will have lavender hair, which is sort of weird? Have you seen Dascha Polanco (Daya, the one that got knocked up with the prison guard with the prosthetic leg) from OITNB? Her gorgeous locks have inspired me to go lavender, and hopefully not to prison/get pregnant with a prison guard.

(Complete the sentence) I feel old when…..

…..in my position in HR at the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, I run new hire paperwork for employees and see job applications from CHILDREN I taught how to swim over 10 years ago. Good LORD. Also when the youth of today don’t know who N*SYNC is. That’s rough. Bye bye bye, see y’all soon at ELGL!
