On February 3, 2017, we had a call with six states that wish to engage in our Local Government Diversity Dashboard data collection project. The recording of the call is below, and the summary of the discussion is as follows:
- ELGL is seeking volunteers (either individuals, teams of ELGL members, or MPA student teams) to collect state level data on race and gender of local government CAOs and ACAOs.
- A template for the data collection tool and the outreach process will be made available in March 2017 for the volunteers.
- This is an open source effort, so the tools, outreach, and data will be available online for ELGL members to review and use.
