When I think of Kansas City, I think about… BBQ, the WWI Museum, humidity, and the ICMA 2016 Conference.
The biggest issue facing local government is… succession planning, hiring millennials, creating meaningful employee engagement, and harnessing new technologies to provide services to citizens.
My pro tip for getting the most out of professional conferences… Force yourself out of your comfort zone and attend a session that interests you, even if your colleagues don’t find it interesting
