City Manager – Toledo, OR

Toledo_city_hallCity population 3,470. Salary range $79,500 – $89,500, DOQ plus excellent benefit package. Staff of 48.55 FTE. Seeking full-time skilled professional to oversee the overall management, administration, financial administration and direction of City operations.

The City of Toledo has a council-manager form of government. The Manager is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Mayor and six-member City Council who are elected from the city at large. Toledo is a full-service city. Departments include: Police, Fire, Planning, Public Works, Library, Recreation and Administration.

Applicants are required to have Bachelor’s degree in Public/Business Administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of five years in public management required, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity. Small community background desirable. Any equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.

City population 3,470. Salary range $5,067 – $6,165/mo. DOQ plus excellent benefit package. Staff of 12.5 FTE. Seeking full-time skilled professional to plan, administer participate in and oversee the public works functions for City of Toledo. Operations include: water, sewer, streets, storm drain, parks, building and grounds maintenance, emergency planning, and construction engineering contracts.

The City needs someone who can be a leader, but who also has strong hands on experience. Must have excellent supervision and project management skills. Applicants are required to have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, plus 5 years’ progressively responsible experience, supervising public works employees. Any equivalent combination of experience (beyond that required for initial qualification) and education will be considered if the candidate is able to demonstrate he/she can satisfactorily perform the job functions.
