Alivia is working to transform our approach to health at our local Public Health Department. She works to apply an equity lens to all aspects of our work. She advocates for training for staff and community members, has established a community advisory board, co-chairs our internal Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEAs) committee.
In response to the COVID19 pandemic, Alivia worked (and continues to work) closely with our community centers. She was one of the first people to work towards translating COVID-19 materials in our state, and worked towards receiving masks to distribute to schools and throughout the community. Alivia is a Health Equity rockstar.
