Make an impact on the public and private sector by taking the “ELGL Five Minute Challenge.”

What does this mean and how do I participate?

Review the resume book – ELGL Resume Book

  • The book includes 38 resumes from current local government professionals, graduate students, and aspiring local government professionals.
  • Resumes are from Alabama, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Washington, and Wisconsin.
  • In reviewing the book, you will find resumes representative of ELGL which brings together all functions of government including community development, finance, private sector firms, public works, and administration.

Contact at least one person listed in the resume book to offer words of advice or support.

Forward the challenge to at least one other person and challenge them to follow your lead.

Consider adding an intern or entry-level position for the next fiscal year.

All this only takes five minutes and shows that you are supportive of cultivating the next generation of leaders.

I’m the co-founder and executive director of ELGL. I love my job. Other things I love: local government, my family, my dog Michael Jordan, sandwiches, naps, books, and skee-ball.
