As part of the grueling ELGL initiation process, new members are asked to complete our version of the Wonderlic test. It’s an open book test and participants do not have to use a dull number 2 pencil to fill in tiny circles. 

Caroline Serrato (LinkedIn) is serving as the Assistant to the City Manager in Daly City, CA as part of the Management Exchange Program. She also serves as a Police Captain. Town of Hillsborough, CA. Caroline graduated from St. Mary’s College with a degree in Management.

Yes and no, people appreciate the benefits and stability but it’s possible to make so much more money in the private sector.

City staff should be required to live in the city in which they work.
No, I understand reasoning behind the requirement but I don’t agree. It’s great if staff can truly be part of the community as a resident, but it should happen organically. Also I am not sure how it would be enforced.
