Top Influencers in Local Government Announcement

We’re thrilled to kick off Public Service Recognition Week by announcing the 2025 Top Influencers in Local Government. The recognition honors people who make a difference in their communities and the larger local gov network, and who demonstrate ELGL values of joy, creativity, connection, dependability, and equity.

Every year ELGL asks our community to nominate outstanding public servants. Top Influencers in Local Government recognizes professionals who work in the public sector and adjacent or related fields.

Top Influencer Virtual Gatherings

Tune in as we hear from the 2025 Top Influencers in Local Government — leaders making waves in communities and throughout the local gov network. Learn how they lead with joy, think creatively, and stay grounded in service. Each session is free, virtual, and full of real talk.

Supper Clubs

Supper Clubs will take place from May 5-9, 2025, as part of Public Service Recognition Week. ELGL members across the country will host casual, in-person gatherings to connect and celebrate. Want to meet other local gov folks in your area? Now is your chance!

Supper Clubs are an ELGL tradition of gathering peers in your area to build community. The events are informal, self-organized, and full of meaning and great conversation.

Public Service Pen Pals

At ELGL, we believe in the power of connections. Our Public Service Pen Pal Program sparks meaningful connection by matching you with a local gov pen pal, bringing people together through the simple act of writing. Like your own personal pep talk, this initiative connects public service professionals by fostering relationships that inspire, encourage, and create a positive impact.
