What’s the best networking advice for job seekers you’ve heard or shared?
It’s ok to be uncomfortable. Not everyone is naturally good at networking.
What’s the fastest way to NOT get a job or internship with you? (e.g. what should potential applicants avoid doing if they were to ever interview with you for a position).
Being, or coming off as unengaged, insincere, or unprepared. Be cognizant of how you are being perceived.
Why should an undergraduate student consider a career working in local government?
The breadth of job opportunities. There are so many different paths you can take within local government, and it’s a field that will allow you to move anywhere you want.
