A key deliverable from the #ELGL19 Innovation Summit was a shared and accessible location for local governments to add information about language, career paths, projects, and more that would help the innovation space grow and thrive across local government organizations of all types.

We’ve created a wiki to compile this information.

A wiki is a website that allows collaborative editing of its content and structure by users.

The most famous that you’ve likely used is Wikipedia. We’ve hosted ours through a company called MediaWiki.

Many people have used wikis for learning, but fewer have edited a wiki so we’ve created some how-to videos to get you started on the two easiest functions so you can ease into contributing to this powerful local government innovation resource.

In this post, you’ll learn how to create an account and log in (it is important to have an account for attribution and references to your work); and also how to make simple edits, most specifically to the “term definition” page that will help us develop a shared language around local government innovation.

In the coming weeks, we’ll develop more training videos to help your continued contributions to ELGL innovation resources. Questions? Contact Kirsten.
