We have Dan Englund and Greg McKenzie to thank for creating “The ELGL Vision.” The three-year vision is centered around three points of emphasis. Connect. Communicate. Educate.
The ELGL Vision
ELGL is an organization ready for the future with a new, innovative strategic plan. At the outset of the planning phase we asked ourselves three questions:
- Who are we?
- Where are we going?
- How are we going to get there?
After eight months of meetings, coordination and caffeine; we were able to establish solid answers to each of these questions. In conjunction with the planning process, we kept you posted on the plan and reached out for your help in a series of blog posts. We now have a dynamic plan to carry out our strategic direction over the next three years.
The Vision Matrix is similar to a Gantt chart, but comes to you in our own, unique fashion. The matrix identifies our six main goals over the next three years. Each goal is followed by a supporting mission statement. The goals will be achieved through specified tasks or activities and we’ve filled most of those roles through ELGL member volunteers and the ELGL advisory board. In the next phase, each contributor will create a mini-plan for carrying out each respective task; complete with scheduled timelines and specific deliverables. Far from frozen, we can’t hold it back anymore and it’s time to let it go. Let it go. Let it go. So, here you go…
