The Social Scene

The next panel for #ELGL14 has been announced… join us on October 17 to get the inside scoop on effectively using social media tools for your local government!  Here are the details:

The Social Scene

  • Patrick Rollens, Social Media Coordinator, Oak Park, IL
  • Bridget Doyle, Communications Coordinator, Village of Lombard, IL
  • Kimburly Ervin, Senior Social Media Strategist, Pyramid Communications
  • MODERATOR: Julie Underwood, Assistant City Manager, Daly City, CA

We’ll start our day with an in-depth discussion about the ways that local governments successfully (and sometimes, unsuccessfully) use social media tools to engage their communities. This is your chance to learn about what different communities are doing, and ways you can incorporate those lessons into your own organization.  We’ll also kick start our day of live tweeting our conference sessions using the hashtag #ELGL14 so our ELGL friends who can’t make the conference can follow each session.

We open registration for #ELGL14 on September 5 at 8:00 a.m.  We anticipate selling out conference spots quickly, so mark your calendars so you can be assured you hear everything that Patrick, Bridget, Kimburly, and Julie have to say!

And don’t forget to read about our other #ELGL sessions with Emily Badger, and the managers of college towns!
