When I think of Kansas City, I think about… President Truman, even if he’s from nearby Independence, MO.

The biggest issue facing local government is… As cliche as it sounds, the pressure to do more with less.

My pro tip for getting the most out of professional conferences… Plan your schedule a day or two before the conference.

If I had to create a presidential ticket with my top two mentors, I’d select… Mentor is such a broad category that I can’t dwindle it down to a “top two.” However, in the spirit of the question, I’d like to give a shout out to Jim Norris (Village Manager of Hoffman Estates, IL) on his guidance in local government matters.
