ELGL is excited to announce a webinar series all about innovation! Check out the lineup of speakers and mark your calendars for these great learning opportunities.
Innovation!
Innovation is a popular buzz word especially in local government and there seem to be speakers, classes, seminars and more, extolling the virtues of innovation or telling organizations how to be more innovative. However, innovation is a nebulous word, it means different things to different people and looks differently in different organizations. What’s innovative in one place may not be very groundbreaking in another.
So instead of defining innovation or telling you how to be more innovative we are taking a very ELGL-y approach to the topic. We are going to share stories of innovation. We’ve contacted several organizations that we think are doing something innovative – whatever that means – and we’re going to share these examples.
We have a range of organizations and topics, from the latest public sector app or a social media service for your neighborhood, to a city providing free wifi. The goal of this series is to get you to think outside the box and see how common public sector problems are being solved in new ways.
Below is the schedule and over the next week we’ll be providing more information on each session and possibly adding a couple more topics so check back.

- Code for America – October 8 (Register)
