“Kathryn exemplifies sustained excellence in government. She is a positive burst of enthusiasm with strong curiosity and a readiness to take on any task. Over the last year, she has been a tremendous asset to the City of Brighton. She stepped up in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, quickly taking ownership of many high-level projects to make sure they didn’t lose momentum during the pandemic.
She was also a crucial part of our budget process this year, taking the time to do what was often tedious and time-consuming work to move everything to a digital format that could be utilized remotely. As if she didn’t have enough work thrown her way by the City, Kathryn also finds time to give back to the profession through volunteering for conference planning with Colorado Women Leading Government and transcribing GovLove podcasts for ELGL.
She is always ready to step up and contribute, and both the City of Brighton and the local government profession are so lucky to have her.
Congrats Kathryn! You deserve this recognition and more; I cannot thank you enough for all your work.”
“Transcribing the GovLove podcasts is a time intensive job and Kathryn’s willingness to join the GovLove team means that the podcasts can be read and accessed by all of our members.
The Knope of the Month award is meant to honor people who put service before self and when I think of the time that Kathryn invests in this work for us, it makes me proud to have her as part of the ELGL family!
