10 Year Challenge! What were you doing in 2009? How did it help you reach your current position?
I was still a high school student back in 2009! My school taught us to center service to others in our lives and I’m sure those lessons influenced my choice to pursue a career in public service.

In undergrad. I was lucky enough to have personal connections with local city managers who showed me the way towards this career path.
What question should we have asked? What’s the answer?
What is your current nerd-out? Somewhat inspired by the 2018 Gubernatorial campaign in Michigan, I’ve been reading about urban and suburban transit design. I think we’re on the brink of sea change in the transportation space with advances in electric and autonomous vehicles, and local governments are going to be profoundly affected by that change.
