If you had to live in a different city, what city would you choose?

Granada, Spain

Storytelling or innovation? Which is the most overused word in local government?

Innovation. But as a fan of both topics in local government, I don’t think we are discussing innovation or storytelling enough!

What was the most important year in your life? Why?

In 2014 I met my (future) wife for coffee and she keeps rocking my world. She drives me to work hard, focus on what matters, and be passionate.

(Complete this sentence) The one thing that I think is missing from local government is….

Translators and interpreters to help even English speakers become more knowledgeable of the public service impacts and engagement opportunity. (Also maybe decades of years of experience operating under liberating policies that prove to benefit protected classes).

What’s your area of expertise? This is not necessarily just your department, but something about local government work that you love learning about, implementing, and talking through with others:
University, community, nonprofit cross-sector relationship building. I thrive on creating spaces that develop positive relationships. I also have experience managing data, regional food banking and food security, volunteer management, life hacks (especially in computer workflows, I love nerding out on workflow improvement), and rec league sports, mainly soccer.
