Posted on October 8, 2017

It’s Mount Rushmore season for ELGL members. We’re asking for your top four list on a variety of topics.

Washington State attractions:
  1. Goat Rocks wilderness
  2. North Cascades Highway/Wilderness
  3. Beach #4 on the Washington State Coast
  4. Deception Pass

Issues facing Washington:

  1. Mental health & chemical dependency epidemic
  2. Tax & revenue disparities – WA has the most regressive tax system in the country
  3. Declining city/state partnership and what that means for our communities
  4. Economic development disparities. The Puget Sound region is booming (which brings its own set of challenges), but other areas have been left out of this boom.

Dinner guests:
Family and friends – I know it’s not four, but I want to spend my free time with the people who are most important to me.
Movies:

  1. Groundhog Day
  2. Say Anything
  3. Dr. Strangelove
  4. Pump up the Volume

Concerts:

  1. Built to Spill (early 2000)
  2. MXPX (1997)
  3. Andrew W K (don’t judge … it was epic)
  4. Ben Folds
