OCCMA is committed to providing quality educational opportunities to municipal professionals. In furtherance of that goal, OCCMA is pleased to announce a limited availability of conference scholarship funds for the 2015 Annual Summer Conference to be held July 7-10 at Mt. Bachelor Village in Bend, Oregon.
If selected, OCCMA provides a full conference registration including all on-site meals. In turn, the scholarship recipient(s) will assist League staff during the conference in various capacities including registration, event staffing, distributing handouts, etc. The schedule usually allows for recipient(s) to attend the conference sessions they’re interested in.
Applicant(s) may also request scholarship funds to reimburse up to $300 for the actual cost of other expenses, such as lodging and travel, related to the conference. To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must be a member of OCCMA. Members must apply in writing for a scholarship. Click 2015 OCCMA Scholarship Application Form for the application form.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, June 5, 2015. Return completed application forms to: Kim Bentley, Executive Coordinator League of Oregon Cities 1201 Court St. NE, #200  Salem, OR 97301 Fax: (503) 399-4863  Phone: (503) 588-6550 kbentley@orcities.org
Scholarship applications are forwarded to the conference committee chair who will determine whether to award the scholarship. Scholarship awards will be based on need. The conference committee chair will notify the applicant(s) in writing regarding the decision, including the amount of the scholarship.
Scholarship recipient(s) who receive funds for conference expenses must submit receipts to OCCMA within 30 days after the conclusion of the conference. Reimbursement will be made based on actual expenses, up to the maximum amount awarded for the recipient(s)
