Picking Up the Pieces: Building A Better Child Care System Post COVID-19 is a new report from Child Care Aware of America.
This year, the world experienced a crisis that no one was prepared for—COVID-19. Many families, communities and businesses in this country were forced to abruptly change their routines and scramble to find consistency in a season of uncertainty.
In past years, Child Care Aware® of America released two annual reports—State Fact Sheets and The U.S. and the High Price of Child Care. This year, they combined the two reports, and are piloting a new resource—the Child Care Data Center—focusing on data collected as recently as July 2020 to capture the massive changes the child care system experienced due to COVID-19.
The downloadable report, along with our new interactive website, are packed with stories, videos and interactive charts comparing accessibility, affordability and quality from 2019 through July 2020.
