Who should present?

Practitioners
ELGL members represent all parts of the local government field—you don’t need a specific title, tenure, or specialty to present with us. We’re looking for timely, relevant topics no matter what your job function. Educators, this includes you!

Students
Have you done local government research or projects that you’re particularly passionate about sharing? A webinar could be a great place to start. You should also consider writing something for us! (link to submission page for that)

Vendors
We often say “we’re all in this together” and that mindset shapes the way we work with the people who work in the private sector. We don’t differentiate between our members who work for local government, from people who work with local government. Things to keep in mind:

  • Our vision is to present content that our members will find helpful and relevant. Your presentation should focus on case studies, strategies, etc.—in other words, we’re not looking for sales pitches.
  • A webinar is also a great way to gauge interest in a topic for a longer cohort. Learn more about sponsorship opportunities here.
