He has previously served as City Manager of Milpitas, Deputy City Manager of San Jose, and Planning & Community Development Director for both Santa Cruz and Scottsdale, AZ. He has also served as President & CEO of United Way Silicon Valley and as Chief Deputy Controller for the State of California.
