So far, what’s your proudest accomplishment in 2019?
I facilitated a partnership between two opposing user groups. Moving forward, these groups will now work together to enhance recreational opportunities this year at our public facilities.
Valentines Day is in February. What do you “love” about your job?
I love the diversity of my job. Every day is different and I have the flexibility to try new things and be creative. I also love working with various user groups and achieve common goals.

10 Year Challenge! What were you doing in 2009? How did it help you reach your current position?
I was a bright eyed, bushy tailed new graduate eager to enter the public service realm. I was able to land an internship with my hometown city which led to a full-time position just a few months later. As a small town in Iowa, I was able to be involved in many aspects of government and make a meaningful difference in my community.

What question should we have asked? What’s the answer?
If you went on vacation and came back to 2,000 unread emails and could only respond to 100 of them, how would you choose which ones to respond to? I’d skim through all of the emails browsing the first few words in each email. My priority would be those emails that have to do with safety concerns.
