DESCRIPTION:
The decennial census, and the information it produces, is a foundational ingredient in our 21st-century, data-driven economy. Businesses rely on it to make strategic decisions every day, and they can play an important role in helping to achieve a strong count by encouraging their employees, customers and the general public to participate next year.
This webinar will provide a basic introduction to engaging companies, of any size, to help get out the count. It will be a useful discussion for census initiatives and community-based organizations planning to work with business but wanting information about i) how to message the census to business leaders, ii) potential barriers to engagement, iii) tips for engaging companies and iii) activities that companies can employ to support the census. You will hear from business leaders who will provide their insight on the topic:
- Kelly Brough, President & CEO, Denver Metro Chamber
- Deborah Marino, SVP of Corporate Relations, SWBC
- Gabriel Vaca, Executive Director, The Hispanic Business Center
This webinar will be recorded for those unable to attend. Please visit strongnation.org/census for additional information about business engagement, or contact Jeff Connor-Naylor at jnaylor@readynation.org with any questions.
Please distribute this invitation widely.
