[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dear ELGL members,

It’s the end of an exciting week where we saw more people engage with ELGL than ever before. The #ELGLCityHall competition ended with Peoria, IL’s victory in the city hall bracket competition. Along the way, we all got a master class from Peoria, Vancouver, and the rest of the field’s social media managers, who demonstrated how social media can mobilize a community and quickly share information. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for a GovLove episode and some recap posts on what we can all learn from the #ELGLCityHall challenge.

[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Diversity Dashboard” color=”green” border_width=”3″][vc_column_text]I love this tweet so much (not just because I wrote it) because it embodies what we’re doing with the Diversity Dashboard project – empowering students and ELGL members across the country to collect good, important data on race and gender in local government leadership. This past week, students from North Carolina presented their data collection tool to the teams in Oregon, California, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio that will also soon begin collecting data.

[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Webinar Library” color=”green”][vc_column_text]We added two more webinars to our webinar library this week. We created the webinar library because we know people have busy schedules so not everyone can attend every single webinar we host. Plus, we know that you might not need to learn about some of the topics when we host them, so accessing our archives is yet another benefit of membership. H/T to the entire team at ViewPointCloud for hosting the most recent webinar on e-permitting.
