14d1d13Welcome to our new member feature. We’ve all heard the excuse “I’m too busy” so we’ve simplified our feature to illicit short, meaningful responses for our new members. As a side note, ELGL is adamantly opposed to the excuse, “I’m too busy.”

Sara Ott (LinkedIn) is the Township Administrator in Washington Township, OH. Previously, she worked as a senior project manager for the City of Dublin, OH. Sara is a graduate of the Kansas MPA program.

What I Wish People Knew About Me: I’m an introvert – crowds are not my thing!
What I Am Wishing Would Go Away:

images3G service.  It is painful.

What I Think of Professional Associations: They are essential to the public sector. They must stay relevant and be member driven.
What I Am Doing This Summer:   When not at the office, I’ll be at the beach or in the mountains with my family and friends.
What I Wished You Asked Me: How I ended up in this career?  I’ve been lucky to have fabulous mentors who took an interest in me early and supported me along the way.   I wouldn’t be in my job today without them.
