The ELGL Haverford Award celebrates the top companies that work with local government. We often say “we’re all in this together” and that mindset shapes the way we work with the people who work in the private sector. We don’t differentiate between our members who work for local government, from people who work with local government.
When local government companies are well run, responsive, and in tune with the opportunities in challenges in towns, cities, counties, and districts, their work makes local government stronger.
Simply put, diligent and responsible local government vendors and their products and services make our communities run better.
Thus, we want to recognize the best companies that are making a difference in local government.
This award isn’t something that a vendor or company can purchase. Sponsoring ELGL is not a prerequisite for inclusion on this list. And, we’re not honoring the companies with the biggest bank account or sales teams.
Inclusion on this list requires a nomination from a local government customer who can vouch for the value and impact that the company makes in the local government space.
We’ll select up to 25 companies to honor on the 2019 Haverford List. We’ll publish all of the information we gather about the companies so ELGL members can learn about these companies, what they do, their business ethos, and how their services are being used in local government.
We’ll also encourage the companies we select to recognize this accomplishment on their websites, communications, and outreach.
When we celebrate kindness and hard work, everybody wins.
