My favorite adventure in life was…. a 120 mile gran fondo bike race on the Colorado plains
What is the most local government thing you have done on vacation? On vacation in northern Michigan I spoke with a public works director to get the street in front of my mother in law’s house repaired
The most important decision that I’ve made in life was… asking my wife to marry me…it is still bewildering to me that she agreed
If I was booking the guests for the GovLove podcast, I would book… L.P. Cookingham
If I couldn’t work in my current position, I would… bake bread
The book on your bookshelf that you intend to read but haven’t is… Sartre’s Being and Nothingness (probably never gonna happen)
Blue or black ink? Thornton blue!
If you could only have bread OR cheese for the rest of your life, which would you choose? Bread…see above.
What is your recent personal and professional accomplishment? Two coworkers who I hired and trained as analysts have recently moved on to assistant/deputy positions in other organizations. While I am sad they left Thornton, ultimately I am happy for their success and take great pride in whatever small contribution I made to their careers.
What’s one thing you want to be sure to do/see while you’re in the Golden area? I live in Colorado and have spent plenty of time in Golden, so I’m excited to meet new people who are attending the conference
If I was writing the questions for the feature, I would have asked…favorite character from Parks and Rec?  I’m a Ron Swanson fan…
