You’re invited to ELGL’s annual membership meeting!
Please join us on August 18 at Noon PT/ 2:00 CT/ 3:00 ET
Our annual meeting will include an update of FY20 highlights, a review of the FY21 budget, and, most importantly, a vote by our membership to approve the transition of ELGL from a 501c6 to a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
ELGL seeks to change our designation from a 501c6 organization (typically used for membership associations like chambers of commerce, business leagues, and strangely, for a long time – the NFL) to a 501c3 organization.
Why? As ELGL continues to grow and evolve our content, research, and connection opportunities, it is advantageous for us to have the benefit of federal tax exemption as well as the opportunity to apply for and compete for grant funding.
ELGL’s bylaws require a noticed meeting of our membership to make a change to our bylaws. Everyone who is a current member is invited to this meeting to learn more and vote on this bylaw change.
