Organized by ELGL, City Hall Selfie Day is a celebration of public service showcasing pride in local government institutions.
ELGL is excited to celebrate the ninth annual City Hall Selfie Day in 2024! Every year since 2016, government employees, elected officials, members of the media, and community members participate in the event across the United States and around the world.
City Hall Selfie Day is all about local government pride.
It doesn't matter if you work for a town, city, county, library, special district — or if you work remotely or from home. City Hall Selfie Day is for everyone!
How to Celebrate
Whether you want to get creative or keep things simple, celebrating City Hall Selfie Day is easy and fun:
- Take a picture of yourself, with a group, or with a community member in front of your local government building. (It doesn’t matter if it’s a building representing a town, city, county, library, or special district — or even if you're a public servant working remotely.)
- Use the hashtag #CityHallSelfie when posting the photo to social media.
- Tag ELGL in your posts: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok, and X/Twitter.
