When I think of Kansas City, I think about… the upcoming ICMA Conference and about how I should travel out of state more often.

The biggest issue facing local government is… succession planning and implementation.

My pro tip for getting the most out of professional conferences… Jot-down why people are relevant or stood out on the back of their business cards; you can do the same when handing out yours out.

If I had to create a presidential ticket with my top two mentors, I’d select…Biden/Knowles 2016 or my Brother Alex Garcia and Former San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Caren Ray. Ray/Garcia 2016
