Citizen Engagement. It is seemingly difficult to find the best way(s) to get citizens involved in local government issues early on in the process instead of later when they become upset about something regarding that same issue.

Not sure that I am a pro yet, in my position as an intern I find it most helpful to attend sessions that relate directly to issues my organization is facing or classes I am in. I think it is good to see the same topics from a different perspective.
