Knope-Worthy Accomplishments

What’s not to like about Anthony? (Beside his USC roots and his dormant Twitter account)

Anthony has been part of ELGL since day one and is a major factor in our continued growth. Just in the last six months, Anthony has turned us onto Vizify, which in turn, lead to an incredible webinar with Vizify co-founder Todd Silverstein. He also shared career advice as part of Josh’s Job Search 2.0. And for the cherry on top, he has organized a joint social event with employees from the cities of Lake Oswego, Tigard, Tualatin, and West Linn.

While we could continue listing his accolades, we instead turn to Anthony’s peers to expound on his Knope-worthy credentials.

Alex McIntyre, City of Menlo Park, City Manager

Wow!  Anthony Hooper.  Of all the folks I know, he has got to be one of the most committed to the profession of local government.  He truly believes in the work he does and the value it brings to the community.  And an enthusiastic, willing and ambitious worker.  I miss working with him.

Anthony Hooper is a rock-star of local government (which is actually much better than a rock-star)!  He’s dedicated to providing excellent public service and always challenging himself to develop as a manager.  I know he’ll continue to do great things.  I’m lucky I had the chance to work with Anthony. Congratulations, we’ll celebrate at Powell’s next time you make it to Bend!

Jordan Wheeler, City of Lake Oswego, Assistant to the City Manager

He has already hit the career trifecta in being promoted through the ranks in Lake Oswego, being loaned to West Linn to complete a short-term program evaluation, and being instrumental in jumpstarting ELGL.

Cate Schneider, City of Lake Oswego, City Recorder

Anthony Hooper brings the utmost in smarts, hard-work and good humor to local government. It’s virtually impossible to underestimate his talent, enthusiasm, and ability to quote Game of Thrones. He’s a tremendous asset to local government and endless fun as a colleague.

Anthony is a great mentor and resource for anyone interested in pursuing a career in local government. Anthony is very patient with up and comers.  He will create a legacy inside and outside of his municipal position.
