Kayleigh is a rising star on the local government scene. A recent MPPA grad from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Kayligh landed in Lone Tree, CO as a Management Assistant Fellow. Her graduate work revolved around police department organizational structures, the findings of which she presented at the 2021 ICMA conference. Her research findings have struck a nerve and offer much needed diligence in how police departments can be structred for better community outcomes.
During her time in Lone Tree she has become a respected voice on the staff and has contributed to the greater local gov community in Colorado through participation with the Colorado City/Couty Manger’s Association (CCCMA) and the Colorado Municipal League (CML). Kayleigh has become a go-to member of the team, taking on grant management, strategic planning, and organizational planning along with organizing the first ever Lone Tree Day of Service to engage community members in giving back. Her thoughtful aproach, regional respect, and fresh ideas absolutley earn her a spot on this year’s #ELGLTraeger list.
