The votes are in and the results have been tabulated: after a week of nominations and voting by our community, ELGL is thrilled to announce the winner of the Knope of the Week! As a reminder, The Knope of the Week honors individuals or groups who have done the most in the past week to advance the mission of ELGL.
Without further ado, the winner of the 39th Knope of the Week is . . . .
3CMA – City-County Communications & Marketing Association
Since 1988, 3CMA has been training local government professionals on using communication tools to enable cities and counties to compete to retain and satisfy residents and businesses. The Portland area was privileged this year to host the 3CMA Annual Conference where participants learned from each other through sessions such as “60 Ideas in 60 Minutes”, “Citizen-sourcing”, and “Crisis Communications.” ELGL was honored to present a breakout session on “Networking in Your Community.“
We hope conference participants enjoyed their time in Portland and will use the skills gained from the conference to promote the local government profession.
For those who were unable to attend the conference, be sure to check out the Saavy Award Winners and see if you can find ideas for your organization.
