What is the most local government-y thing you have done on vacation?

Trying to talk to my family about the architecture or infrastructure.

If I was booking the guests for the GovLove podcast, I would book…

Our Deputy Finance Director, Victor Brownlees. As a former CM, he brings a great new perspective to this critical function. And he’s from across the pond, so everyone just likes hearing his accent

If you could only have wine OR chocolate for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

WINE

What’s one thing you want to do/see when you’re in Durham?

Public Gardens look cool and the internet says Motorco has the best bloody mary and neighborhood vibe.

#ELGL19 will be a success in my book if this happens:

If I emerge from my professional slump re-energized. If sessions/attendees open my eyes to new info or perspectives. If I feel armed to launch/sustain our performance dashboard program and/or otherwise better support my management team

Who is your mentor?

Great Q. Wish I had one.

What’s the most interesting thing you’re working on right now?

Working with local agencies to reduce drug abuse, trying to make a free community news site using public social feeds and our blog content, and our Citizen Academy.

What’s your pet peeve?

Mean people.
