What is the most local government-y thing you have done on vacation

#CityHallSelfie at Kauai County in Hawaii!

If I was booking the guests for the GovLove podcast, I would book…

Suzanne Lucas, the Evil HR Lady. I always find her perspective interesting. @RealEvilHRLady on Twitter.

If you could only have wine OR chocolate for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

Wine. Working in wine country, it’s got to be wine.

What’s one thing you want to do/see when you’re in Durham?

I want to relive an #ELGLInspire experience and make Ben Kittleson drive me around and listen to my weird music. I also want to rent a bike and cruise around the city, Ben’s invited to that, too.

#ELGL19 will be a success in my book if this happens:

I walk away with new ideas and perspectives to bring back to the City of McMinnville. And if I get to share hotel room with my gal pal, Katie Babits.

Who is your mentor?

Lately I’ve been looking to my aunt for professional guidance. We’re sort of mentoring each other. I’m in a new job and she’s undergoing lots of transitions in her role at Intel. It’s been great sharing advice with each other.

What’s the most interesting thing you’re working on right now?

I’m excited to be recruiting an intern through the McMinnville Economic Development Partnership. Our intern will work on communications projects for our newly adopted strategic plan, #MacTown2032.
